Monopole Tower Information

Monopole Tower Foundation Pictures

Below are pictures of the latest foundation for a 45″ monopole tower.

This is the assembled foundation kit in a hole dug for a 45′ monopole tower.  You can see the conduit running from the top of the foundation kit down and out of the foundation hole to the house.

Close-up of the top of the bolts with the thread protection sleeves.  This assembly keeps the bolts aligned and protects the threads from cement getting into them.  This part will be removed when the cement cures and you are ready to mount the tower.

This is a close-up of the bottom of the bolts and the rebar running around them.  This part will be completely covered with cement and hold the tower foundation in place.

Getting ready to pour 5.5 yards of 3000 psi concrete into the foundation hole.  5.5 yards of concrete weight about 22,275 pounds or just over 11 tons.

Starting the finish process on the top part of the foundation.  This takes a little bit of time to get the cement off of the lower nuts and smooth out between the bolts.

This is a shot of the almost finished foundation and trench going up to the house.  This will be covered for several days so that it can cure.  You can also see the base of the 45’ monopole tower that will be installed on the foundation.  The 45’ monopole tower weighs a little over 900 pounds.
